The Security and Emergency Agency of the Community of Madrid (ASEM 112) has activated once again on Monday the operational situation 1 of the Special Flood Plan (INUNCAM) due to the forecast of rain, the release of dams from the Canal de Isabel II and the Tajo Hydrographic Confederation (CHT), and the melting of snow in the Sierra in the coming days.
Thus, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain in the Sierra from 6:00 p.m. on Monday and throughout Tuesday, with an accumulated precipitation of 40 millimeters in 12 hours.
In response, the Forestry Agents of the Community, Civil Protection from municipalities, and local Police officers are on the ground monitoring and supervising the state of the rivers to promptly inform the Plan director.

This afternoon, the Advisory Council of the director will meet at the headquarters of the ASEM112 and the Advanced Command Post will be set up for monitoring.
The regional Agency recommends that citizens exercise extreme caution, stay away from riverbeds even for taking photos, stay informed about road conditions and weather through media and official sources, and not cross water dams or moving riverbeds.

On the other hand, the CHT has advised caution on Monday on social media in areas near riverbeds and to pay attention to the warnings and recommendations of Civil Protection regarding the new Aemet rain alerts in the area.
