
This Sunday, a new edition of the Half Marathon will be held in Madrid, bringing significant traffic restrictions to the capital. From 7:30 in the morning until after lunchtime, traffic will be completely restricted on Paseo de la Castellana, from Recoletos to Plaza de Castilla, as well as on cross streets like Bravo Murillo, Francisco Silvela, and O’Donnell.
Also affected will be Alcalá Street, Juan Bravo, Serrano, Gran Vía, and iconic places like Cibeles Square, Gregorio Marañón, and Cuatro Caminos. The EMT will change some bus routes. The use of public transportation is recommended.
More than 300 municipal police officers will ensure security at the Madrid Half Marathon this Sunday
The event will bring together 27,000 runners and will cover historical areas of the city center after a change in the route, which will affect a large part of the central area.
