The Madrid City Council meeting with light, postponed until Wednesday due to Monday’s blackout. Councilors have agreed to praise the attitude of the majority of the capital’s citizens in the face of the difficulties caused by the lack of electricity.
And so it began with the socialist spokesperson Reyes Maroto, asking to set aside disputes and thank the people of Madrid. Mayor Martínez Almeida criticized Maroto’s words as «crocodile tears» and chastised the managers of Red Eléctrica Española for their delay in providing explanations.
After the blackout, the Formula 1 circuit at Ifema was another point of contention. The spokesperson for Más Madrid, Rita Maestre, stated that with this project, the looting by the PP will return and, displaying a photo of the mayor and the regional president, questioned the usefulness of the «190 million» that will be allocated to promoting the event.

On the other hand, Vox criticized the Madrid City Council and the Municipal Land and Housing Company for declaring «inquiocupas» who do not pay rent as vulnerable.
According to Vox, they are protected by a law supported by the PP government that harms the property owner.
