The regional executive has invested over 11 million euros in this public health resource in Madrid, which has 11 endoscopy rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology to double its operational volume. In fact, with these facilities, the annual 20,000 procedures will be increased to 40,000.
The design of this device has been planned to ensure optimal patient care, from the moment they arrive in the waiting room. Therefore, the facility has 29 individual boxes for their preparation before the prescribed technique and their subsequent recovery, along with their companions. These compartments have continuous monitoring systems that enhance the safety and quality of care, being permanently controlled by professionals.
It also includes specialized areas for the processing and storage of endoscopes, with some washing and disinfection circuits designed to ensure the maximum efficiency and sterilization of these tools. In addition to these spaces, there are others dedicated to staff, meeting rooms, offices, and a fully equipped auditorium for clinical and training sessions.
All theaters have an integrated audiovisual system that allows the transmission of live scans, facilitating collaboration work among endoscopy unit professionals and opening up the possibility of offering online courses for specialists worldwide.
