This weekend, on the 15th and 16th of March, Cadalso de los Vidrios becomes the epicenter of viticultural culture with the celebration of the XIII Madrid Wine Fair, known as ‘Cadalvin’.
This annual event not only offers the opportunity to taste the exquisite wines of the region but also allows attendees to delve into the fascinating world of wine through talks and guided tastings led by experts in the field.
The fair will take place in the emblematic Plaza de la Corredora, where visitors can enjoy an impressive variety of local wines. Madrid Wine Tourism will be present with barrels that will adorn the space during the event.
But that’s not all, on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., an exclusive guided tasting will be held for fifteen people, organized in collaboration with the City Council.

Among the participating associated wineries this year are recognized brands such as Cristo del Humilladero Cadalso, 4 Monos, San Esteban Protomártir, Virgen de la Poveda, and La Casa de Monroy. During the preparations for the fair, a Madrid Directo team visited some of these participating wineries.
At Cristo del Humilladero, Jorge explains that they are trying different types of grapes and analyzing how the wines evolve in their barrels. «The granite in our soil adds peculiarities to the wine that make it truly wonderful,» he emphasizes.

Finally, Luis, representative of Bodega Cenicientos and fourth generation of winemakers in his family, is finalizing preparations by bottling the wine that will be available for tasting during this exciting weekend.
