Cercanías Madrid will suspend the service on the C-5 line (Móstoles El Soto-Atocha-Fuenlabrada-Humanes) between the Embajadores and Villaverde Alto stations starting this Wednesday, the 2nd, due to ongoing works at Atocha that will last until the end of August.
Due to these works, from that day until July 30th, there will be a total service disruption on this section, with Villaverde Alto and Embajadores stations being excluded.
Therefore, trains on the C-5 line will run between Humanes and Villaverde Alto on one side, and between Móstoles El Soto and Embajadores on the other, as informed by Renfe.
Adif will carry out works at Atocha Cercanías starting July 2nd that will affect circulation
Consequently, the Puente Alcocer, Orcasitas, and Doce de Octubre stations will be closed with no train service, while at Méndez Álvaro station, trains from the C-10 line (Villalba-Príncipe Pío-Atocha-Recoletos-Chamartín) will operate but not those from the C-5 line, and there will be partial closure at the turnstiles for this line.
To facilitate mobility, Renfe will enhance the service with an additional 20,000 daily seats, thanks to the increased offering on the C-4 and C-10 lines during peak hours.
Mainly, the alternatives are Metro lines 3 (Embajadores and Villaverde Alto), 1 (Atocha), and 6 (Méndez Álvaro, towards Avenida de América to Moncloa), as well as EMT lines 22, 60, 76, 78, 81, 86, 116, 130, and 131, among others.
Passengers with the Renfe&tú card will be able to use the specified EMT lines at no additional cost.
