National Police agents have dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking operating in Alcobendas and a small town in Guadalajara.
They were supplying themselves with hashish and, after selling it, investing part of the earnings in the purchase of cocaine, obtaining a significant economic benefit from the trade of both substances. Additionally, they had acquired a machine to press pills with the purpose of manufacturing psychotropic substances.
The investigations began last September when agents became aware of an organized group allegedly engaged in the illegal sale of drugs.

The objective was to determine the origin of the drugs, their hiding and storage place, as well as the degree of participation and roles of each member.
For the acquisition of drugs, they carried out «flash» trips in which they spent just a few hours at the destination location before returning to the Madrid town of Alcobendas shortly after.
Once there, a frenetic activity of the group members could be observed, suggesting that these trips were for the acquisition of drugs and their subsequent distribution.
During these trips, they employed high security measures, frequently changing vehicles requested from friends and acquaintances or rented under third-party names.
Moreover, as a preventive measure, they used «shuttle vehicles» during their trips to evade potential police controls along the route without being detected.
Other security measures they adopted included the use of multiple phone lines and different residences where they stayed for short periods of time.
They possessed a pill-pressing machine that was difficult to acquire in the market. As the investigations progressed, it was discovered that the main suspect had obtained a pill-pressing machine from the black market with the intention of producing ecstasy pills for commercialization.
This machine was located in a small town in the province of Guadalajara where the production of pills would attract less attention.
In this way, they planned to expand their drug sales business by incorporating pills.
Raids in Madrid and Guadalajara
On May 8th, agents intercepted the shuttle vehicle and the drug-carrying vehicle, finding 33kg of high-quality hashish inside, and immediately arresting the occupants.
Subsequently, simultaneous raids were conducted in three residences in Alcobendas, one in San Sebastián de los Reyes, and another in a small town in Guadalajara.

The agents seized various quantities of different drugs, a revolver and a starter pistol, 35 starter cartridges, two large chests with several kilos of gummy candies and sugar, allegedly used as excipients to give consistency to the preparation of psychotropic pills, and the amount of 7000 euros in cash.
As a result of all these events, seven individuals have been arrested, five men and two women, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health and membership in a criminal group, and were brought before the Court of Instruction Number 2 of Alcobendas, which ordered the immediate imprisonment of four of them.
