Dos agentes de la Policía Nacional rescatan a dos hombres en un incendio

In an afternoon that could have had a tragic outcome, two National Police officers, Jesús and Pedro, demonstrated their courage and commitment by saving the lives of two men during a fire in Parla. The alarm was raised when a neighbor alerted emergency services about a possible fire with people trapped inside.

«That day I was sleeping in my room, watching a movie with the door closed. Suddenly, the door opened and they told me it was the Police, that there was a fire,» says José, one of the victims. Thanks to the quick intervention of the officers, they managed to escape the danger.

The situation was critical. Upon arrival, the police officers found the kitchen in flames and the house filled with smoke. «If it weren’t for those officers, we wouldn’t have known. Thanks to them, thanks to the National Police here in Parla, we came out safe,» adds José with gratitude.

The officers describe how they acted quickly after receiving the emergency call. «We were on regular patrol and were fortunate that it happened relatively close to us. We could smell burning and see smoke coming out of the windows,» one of them explains. With determination, they managed to open the apartment door and found José lying in bed and another man unconscious in the living room.

With great courage and using a sweater to protect themselves from the smoke, the officers managed to drag both men to safety. Apparently, a forgotten pot on the stove was the cause of the intense smoke that nearly cost them their lives.

A Madrid Directo team was present at the emotional reunion between José and his saviors. Hugs and tears of emotion as they recalled the critical moment. «If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t be here telling the story,» concludes José, expressing his gratitude to the two heroes who made this happy ending possible.

With this story, Parla can be proud to have such dedicated officers who risked their own safety to save lives. A story that highlights not only the valor of these officers but also the importance of teamwork and solidarity in critical moments.
