The price of free housing in the Community of Madrid rose by 11.6% in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2024, six tenths below the national average (+12.2%).

Thus, the general index in the region has increased by 3.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, one tenth more than the national average (+3.5), according to the Housing Price Index (HPI) published this Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

In this way, the price of new housing in the region has increased by 12.2% from January to March compared to the same period in 2023, just like the national average. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, the price of new housing in the Community has grown by 6.8%.

On the other hand, the price of second-hand housing in the Community of Madrid has increased by 11.6% during the first quarter of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, seven tenths below the national average, which has recorded an increase of 12.3%.

Additionally, the price of second-hand housing in the region has increased by 3.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024.
