A fire in an abandoned plot of land on Valderribas street in Puente de Vallecas has uncovered a problem of drugs and insecurity that the neighbors have been enduring for over half a year. The accumulation of belongings, some of them flammable, has finally caused what they feared from the beginning.
The fire did not surprise the neighbors. They claim that «it was expected because they have everything like a dump».
It all started last August, when a couple moved into this plot. Since then, it has been a nightmare. Neighbors claim they were dealing drugs and «injecting themselves.»
Dirt, syringes, drug dealing, fights and threats to neighbors who say something to them. Scenes that young children witness every day, as it is part of the path to school.

The neighbors reported it, but the plot belongs to an individual. They also warned about the presence of gas cylinders but were told it was unlikely for a cylinder to explode.
This morning’s fire with four loud explosions ended up being a fright, although the nightmare continues for these neighbors.
