
The upcoming Friday, April 25, the ‘V Book Fair of Alcobendas’ will be inaugurated in Parque de Cataluña, remaining open from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm until Sunday the 27th.
For three days, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the latest literary releases in the sixteen booths of bookstores and publishers present at this edition, with the incentive of a 10% discount on book sales.
The fair’s program includes, in addition to the traditional and highly anticipated book signings with over 50 authors, various free access activities:
– VI Literary Contest ‘Elderly Who Write’ Awards Ceremony. It will take place on Friday, April 25, at 12 pm and will include a storytelling session for adults by Rosa Muñoz.
– Author Encounters. Alberto Jiménez García, Dermot C. Miller, Paula Carretero Oya, Nilda Pérez Emens, Jorge Navarro Luna, María Núñez Gualda, and Juan Carlos Rico Borrego will present their latest works.
– Storytelling Sessions. With Kids&Us (in English, for children aged 3 to 7) and Silvia Rodríguez (accompanied by songs, poems, and rhymes, recommended for children aged 3 to 10).
– Family Shows. ‘Animathor’ (circus with juggling, animation, games, songs, and magic) and ‘Grandma’s Handkerchief’ (theater and folk music), recommended for children aged 3 to 10, and ‘Sung Stories’, for children aged 2 and older.
Additionally, on Saturday, the 26th, at 11 am, there will be a presentation of two self-published digital books: ‘Walking Slowly, Rushing Is Not Good’, from IES FP Ciudad Escolar, and ‘Adolescent Echoes’ from IES Francisco Giner de los Ríos.
