The Ministry of Transportation has changed the start A-5 Bus Lane between Móstoles and Cuatro Vietos. It was changed last night and will now start at M-50. This controversial bus lane was the subject of complaints from residents and mayors in the area who felt that traffic problems worsened after underground work began.
The complaints focused on the bus lanes, implemented in the service road and not on the central A-5 highway, transferring traffic jams to the exits of Móstoles and Alcorcón, especially during rush hour.
Now, the ministry has changed its starting point to after the M-50 connection with Arroyomolinos with the aim of «facilitating the movements of entry and exit of private vehicles».
The closing of underground steps begins on A-5
The ministry allowed direct access from the main road to this bus lane to facilitate the integration of public transportation services.
