The moratorium granted by the City Council of Getafe has ended, and starting this Monday, fines will be imposed on those who enter the low emission zones (ZBE) in the neighborhoods of Centro and San Isidro without the required badge.
120 surveillance cameras will monitor compliance with the regulations, with fines of 200 euros for those who violate them.
Getafe had delayed the penalties for the ZBE due to the flood of criticisms and had granted a moratorium until February 24 because many residents and businesses had not completed the necessary procedures. The PP party denounces the revenue-raising intentions of the city council.

She mentioned this after the City Council extended the moratorium on fines in the ZBE until February 24 to give the citizens more time to better understand these changes.
