The Mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, presented the bullfighting poster that will take place on June 15th at 7:00 p.m. in Las Ventas, featuring the bullfighter Morante de la Puebla.
«A legend of bullfighting that turns any poster into a masterpiece. Each pass by Morante is a lesson in art and personality,» said the mayor, who expressed satisfaction with a proposal that «brings together the past, present, and future of bullfighting.»
The town will host a bullfight with six bulls from the El Vellosino ranch, known for the nobility of its bulls, which couldn’t be included in the May 2nd festivities as initially planned.

The city had tendered the bullfight for the festivities through an open procedure, reaching the award proposal stage. However, the Administrative Tribunal of Public Procurement of the Community of Madrid ruled on a third-party appeal, annulling the solvency requirement for bidders in the tender and invalidating the process.
As a result, in compliance with the ruling, the city withdrew from the process and announced that it would file an administrative contentious appeal, considering the agreement harmful and contrary to the law. A new process has been completed with a date and poster assigned.

In addition to Morante de la Puebla, Tomás Rufo will also participate, described as «one of the most established young bullfighters who has showcased his talent in top arenas,» as mentioned by Bautista.
This lineup will be complemented by bullfighter Alejandro Chicharro, referred to as «one of the most promising talents of the moment,» noted the mayor, emphasizing that «his inclusion is not by chance: he comes with strength, ambition, and freshness.»
During the bullfight presentation, Bautista was joined by Chicharro, journalist Beatriz García, and bullfighting entrepreneur Rafael Ayuso, taking the opportunity to defend bullfighting as a significant part of the country’s identity and roots.

«Bullfighting is part of our history and traditions. In fact, great Spanish artists and writers found inspiration in bullfighting. Examples include García Lorca with his ‘Lament for Ignacio Sánchez Mejías,’ Goya and his engravings ‘La tauromaquia,’ or Pablo Picasso, a bullfighting enthusiast who depicted bullfighting scenes in many of his works,» he pointed out.

They are also available for in-person purchase at Torrecilla cafeteria (2 de Mayo Avenue, 1) starting from June 9th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additionally, tickets can be bought at the bullring ticket offices on the day of the event starting from 10 a.m.
