Paloma Tejero critica que se informaron del traslado de 400 inmigrantes a través de los medios

Paloma Tejero, mayor of Pozuelo de Alarcón, has denounced that «400 places are outrageous for that center» after learning that the Government will send unaccompanied minors to the Reception, Attention, and Referral Center (CREADE) of the municipality, as explained in The Nightly Analysis.

The Government has proposed the transfer without having reached a consensus with the regional or local governments. The regional government has criticized the decision for its «lack of institutional loyalty,» while Tejero has emphasized that they found out «through the media.»

The mayor of Pozuelo warns of the «overcrowding» of the migrant center and criticizes the lack of information

The mayor has pointed out that the center «does not meet the conditions, requirements, or needs of the minors,» as it was intended for Ukrainian refugees following the Russian invasion.

Furthermore, she has added that residents see it «with concern», as «events like those in Alcalá de Henares, far from reassuring, cause much more concern.»

Therefore, she demands that the Government Delegation «guarantee the safety of residents as it does with minors.»
