
The Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Community of Madrid, Mariano de Paco Serrano, held an institutional meeting this Saturday in Argentina with the Ministers of Economic Development and Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, Hernán Lombardi and Gabriela Ricardes, respectively, with the aim of strengthening cultural and tourist ties with the Argentine capital.
The meeting took place within the framework of the Community of Madrid’s tourism promotion actions in the Argentine capital and will continue in Montevideo (Uruguay), where more than a dozen representatives from the tourism and cultural sectors of Buenos Aires have also attended.

The Minister of Culture emphasized that this is a «demonstration of the shared interest of both parties in strengthening their ties in both areas.» In this sense, De Paco highlighted the role of tourism and culture as a «economic engine and bridge between societies.»
The Community of Madrid will organize an exhibition of the Argentine artist Julio Le Parc at the Alcalá 31 Hall. The exhibition will arrive in September 2027, as announced by De Paco.
The Madrid delegation was composed of representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sports along with the President of the Madrid Federation of Travel Agencies, César Gutiérrez, from Hostelry Madrid, José Antonio Aparicio, from the Madrid Hotel Business Association, Gabriel García, and from the Flamenco Clubs Association of Madrid, Juan Manuel del Rey.
