The Community of Madrid, through 112 Emergencias Madrid, has attended 3,139 cases this Monday due to the major blackout that occurred throughout Spain. Meanwhile, regional firefighters have had to carry out 292 interventions since the blackout occurred at 12:30 p.m., with no serious incidents reported in any case.

The Community of Madrid’s 112 service has managed 3,139 cases – without any serious incidents – from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with 292 requiring the intervention of the region’s firefighters.

This was the major blackout of April 28, 2025 that will never be forgotten in Madrid

Many of the cases involved individuals with respiratory needs, and nearly 300 were related to people trapped in elevators.
