After the storm Jana, the storm Konrad arrives with less than 24 hours of respite in between. All rivers in the Community of Madrid are being monitored due to the rising riverbeds caused by the new precipitation and the release of water from the dams containing a large volume of water.
The spillways of El Atazar continue to discharge 105 cubic meters per second into the Lozoya River and from there into the Jarama River.
Downstream, Torrelaguna, Rivas-Vaciamadrid, and Paracuellos del Jarama already have flooded areas and are monitoring potentially flood-prone areas.

In Rivas-Vaciamadrid, 10 people have been evacuated from Soto del Grillo and another 7 from a different property. The lands of some farmers have been almost completely flooded.
Dams are being raised to contain the water within their domain and prevent it from affecting properties and infrastructure. Soto del Real, crisscrossed with streams, is keeping a close watch on Las Chozas stream which passes close to livestock farms.
